Tripp Kowlaski has spent the last few months avoiding the two people he loves, Skylar Daveigh and Gideon Foley. A celebration followed by a game of I Never has led the three down a path, and the results of that evening now affect a friendship cemented in college. The group of friends gathered for yet another celebration, leaving Tripp no alternative but to see the two people he aches for in the flesh. He will have to face his demons and the truth about that night and all its implications.

Is Tripp willing to do what is necessary to have Skylar and Gideon back in his life?

In I Never Lena Matthews proves that you should not play games seeking true answers friends unless you can handle the outcome. Gideon is the character I related to the most. He’s a man who knows what he wants and where he stands in life. He doesn’t make excuses, but he doesn’t share unnecessarily. Gideon dealt with his hurt the best way he could, and I didn’t blame him for his reluctance when it came to forgiving. Skylar is a woman after my own heart. She knew what she wanted and finally took the bulls by the horns. What others would classify as greed, Skylar would chalk up as necessity. Then we come to Tripp, a man who had me in a constant mode of head shaking. He was fortunate to have two friends who cared him enough to allow him back into their hearts. Ms. Matthews has written a wonderful story about love and learning acceptance of self and those you hold dear. The characters were entertaining and engaging, and if we are fortunate, there are at least two more stories that will follow I Never.
