Season of Love
Clayton Phelps wants to prove his love and commitment to his live in girlfriend, Roselyn “Roz” Bellamy, and to do this means trying to get along with her father who feels that he is not good enough for his daughter and he is just using her. Trying to bring harmony to Roz’s family, Clayton decides he wants to make the celebration of Kwanzaa a part of their yearly holiday tradition. Clayton plans a special gift for every night of Kwanzaa with hopes of giving Roz the ultimate gift on the seventh night. That is if Roz’s father, Bishop, remembers the principles of Kwanzaa and the love of his family.
Season of Love was the perfect quickie that got me to thinking just how quickly the year has flown by and it’s almost time for the holiday season. It was a great book, read while curled up enjoying the perfect summer day or curled up in bed. I must warn you, there will be times when you will break out into a smile and people will wonder why you are smiling. The interaction between Clayton and Roz was intense. Clayton liked to control in the bedroom and his method of control was nothing short of breathtaking. Roz liked to push that control and she also took the reigns of control a little herself and that is what made this relationship work. The dedication they showed to both their relationship and their family was something I found refreshing and a pleasure to read. I was proud of Roz for realizing what she would need to do to ensure both men continued to be a part of her life. Reading this book will get you in the holiday spirit and the mood for a lot of bedroom spirit.
