Kiss of a Dark Moon

In this sequel to Marked by Moonlight by Sharie Kohler, Kit March is determined to prove she is a dedicated lycan hunter despite being female. Lycan’s destroyed her parents and are soulless killers and Kit intends to kill any she encounters even if it costs her everything. Rafe Santiago is a European werewolf hunter and assassin of rogue hunters who has been sent to stop Kit. But there is something different about Kit that calls to Rafe, and he knows a secret about her that she doesn’t even suspect. How can Rafe do his job and fight his attraction to Kit? And even if Rafe was sent to kill her there is something about him that makes her want to trust him. Is she losing her mind?

WOW talk about the ultimate opposites attract story! Rafe is as much of a killer as the lycans Kit hunts and yet her body craves him and her heart wants to trust him. And for Rafe, Kit has somehow gotten under his skin. He never feels anything for an assignment but he is experiencing unwanted feelings for Kit. I enjoyed the extreme tension between Kit and Rafe every time they get together and when they finally do something about their incredible attraction the scene is explosive. But even as they both recognize that something different is happening they have no time to explore it. Every lycan or hunter in the surrounding area either want to kill or rape Kit and no place is safe. Why is Kit such a target? Is it merely because she is a woman that dares to hunt and kill lycans, or is there something else going on? Luckily Kit and Rafe are both strong, take-no-prisoners type of personalities and individually they are hard to stop but together they could be impossible. Ms. Kohler will have you biting your nails while sitting on the edge of your chair as you try to make it through the gauntlet with Kit and Rafe! Do not read this book if you suffer from heart problems or are on a heart monitor; your heart won’t make it between the emotional entanglements of Kit and Rafe and the adrenaline spikes as they fight to survive attacks at every turn! I hope there is a third book planned but I can’t imagine what Ms. Kohler will do next?
