The Flame

There is a prophecy about the eight Sons of Destiny, eight brothers born in four sets of twins. This story is about the seventh born, Koranen. It is his turn to look for a bride, which he fears will be much more difficult than it was for his brothers. He is cursed with a flame that is always burning through his body. Koranen knows the damage he can do to a normal woman, and must find one who can stand his heat. Then Danau arrives, and she is an Aquamancer. Koranen is sure he has found the woman who can handle his flame.

The Flame is the seventh book in the Sons of Destiny series, and it is just as great as the first six. I can’t get enough of the brothers and will be very sad to say good-bye to them. Koranen has always been one of the brothers that captured my interest. He has an innocence about him that made me eager to see him happy. Danau is the perfect bride for him, she is one of my favorite women in the series. Reading their love story was never dull, and it was definitely a journey. Also, the storyline that has been running through all the books just gets better. It has been building over the seven books and it is still fresh and exciting. I would love nothing more than for Jean Johnson to find a way to continue writing about this world, because I feel like I become a part of it when I read her books. The Sons of Destiny series is a must read for any romance lover.
