Huntingdawn 2: Witch Vamp Were?
Witch Vamp Were? is the second book in the Huntingdawn series. Though it can be read alone it is best read following the first book in the series, Accidentally Were?
Shaun has recently discovered that not all in the world is what it seems. After all her best friend is mated to a Were and everyone thought those were just mythical creatures. Determined to prove her theory right she’s hanging around in a cemetery hoping to find a vampire or two.
Rob, Pack Alpha, is bound and determined to keep Shaun out of trouble now that she knows their secret. He also isn’t above scaring a little sense into the stubborn woman, hence his being in a cemetery in the middle of the night with his best friend Jakov Pieter, a real life vampire, and a plan to scare the troublesome brat.
What none of them expected was a ghost, a prophecy, and fate to take an interested in the three and try and bind them together in a way that they aren’t sure they want.
Anne Douglas is good at writing ménage stories. Really, really good and Witch Vamp Were? is another example of how good she can be. Shaun is a fun character, she was fun in the previous book and with this more in depth look at her character she becomes an even greater person to read about. Both men were sex magnets. So charged with sensual heat that I had to wipe my brow whenever they appeared in the story, especially when their smoldering sensuality became raw sexual energy and whether in a trio or pairs they burned up the circuits in my ebook reader. Jakov and Rob were each just yummy in different ways and variety is the spice of life and Shaun is one lucky lady! The plot was a continuation of the prophecy theme from Accidentally Were? and a few questions left from that book were answered while more were raised. I can’t wait to see where Ms. Douglas takes us next and I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the continuation of this journey.
