Where the Heart Is is a part of the Bay City Paranormal Investigations series but can be read as a standalone.

Dean is on a much needed vacation from Bay City Paranormal Investigations. He travels to North Carolina to visit with some old friends. While there they introduce him to Sommer Skye, owner of Blue Skye Inn and Winery, and Dean discovers that the Inn holds much to capture his interest…a haunting and the sexy Sommer. Sommer is attracted to Dean as well, but as the mystery surrounding the haunting and their feelings for each other deepen, the two men will have to decide Where the Heart Isand if it’s where they want to be.

Dean Delapore has always been one of my favorite characters in the Bay City Paranormal Investigations series after Bo and Sam. I’ve often thought he was interesting because of his lassie faire approach to relationships and commitment and wanted to look deeper than that façade. I’m thrilled that author Ally Blue fulfilled my wish and happy to say that this book was well worth the wait. After reading Where the Heart Is Dean is now my favorite character hands down. Sommer is a close second. The two together are a dynamite combination. Sommer is a sweet, shy, and hot in a goofily endearing way. When the two meet the chemistry is palpable and had me wiping the sweat from my brow. Seeing the vulnerable side of Dean was enlightening and the added friendship with his close friends, Kerry and Ron, allowed for him to develop into a well rounded character. I love this series and I loved Where the Heart Is and I can’t wait to see where Ally Blue will take this series next!
