Five years ago Prince Henry, in youthful arrogance, caused a young man's death. The young man's mother was a witch. She curses Prince Henry. Ashamed of his actions and desperate to find a cure on his own, Prince Henry has told no one of his plight. No one knows that unless the curse is lifted, he can never marry and will never become King.

That no one includes his well meaning and understandably concerned parents. They believe that marriage will 'fix' their only son and arrange for the beautiful Princess Madeline to visit. Prince Henry and Princess Madeline fall in love at first sight. As the relationship can never be, Prince Henry tries to avoid the Princess. That would be easier if Princess Madeline wasn't so intent on spending time with him.

Prince Henry's Secret is a charming story. A cursed Prince, a beautiful Princess, and a vengeful witch may seem, on the surface, standard fairytale fare except the Prince is a romantic, the Princess very, very determined and the witch grief stricken. This fullness of the characters gives the tale a special sparkle. The curse and its resolution are also unique. Fans of the Grimm Brothers will love Prince Henry's Secret.
