Wanted: Boyfriend for Christmas

Heather is an intelligent, attractive woman who hasn’t been able to let a man close to her emotionally since she was a teenager, except for her best friend Daniel. Her determined mother is driving her nuts trying to set her up with any man she can find; it is so bad Heather dreads going home for the Christmas holidays. So Heather decides to find Mr. Right or Mr. Close Enough in the Classified ads before Christmas. But maybe the real problem is facing what has Heather running in fear when a man stirs her emotions and if she’d slow down and take a careful look around Heather might find love is right next door.

This story is about finding love where you least expect to find it and asking for and accepting guidance from God. Heather and Daniel have been best friends for over eleven years but the one thing they have never done is dated each other. From the beginning the reader can see that there is something special about their relationship, but what it means isn’t clear. As they struggle with dating other people and even making major mistakes about who they love the reader feels frustrated with and for them. It is not until each of them begins to seek God’s guidance that they begin to find the truth about what God has planned for them. Is there more between Heather and Daniel than a loyal friendship or would dating each other destroy their special relationship? Is their love for each other more like the love of loyal friends or even family or the love of a special person God has chosen for them? I enjoyed this sweet, sentimental romance. I am married to my best friend so from the beginning of the story I wanted Heather and Daniel to end up together but accepting what God has planned for them is even more important. Heather has some healing to do from a teenage tragedy and until she faces and deals with that she isn’t ready to find the man God has for her. Daniel seems to be in love with being in love so he needs to decide if it is a person he loves or the idea. If you want to read a sweet inspirational romance, then Wanted: Boyfriend for Christmas will not let you down!
