The end of days is upon us. After the Neteru team battled demons in Washington D.C. they were labeled as terrorists and are hiding out in the Bermuda Triangle until they get word to move. Chaos reigns around the world and the nation is under martial law. The Dali Lama has been arrested, animals are running wild through the streets attacking people for food, the water and food supplies are contaminated, and the walking dead prowl the lands feasting on those unluckily enough to be around.

The pale horse of the apocalypse has been released and six of the Neteru women are pregnant thus giving more worries to the male guardians as they protect their expecting women and humanity while preparing to battle with the ultimate evil.

The Thirteenth is the final book in L.A. Banks’ Vampire Huntress Legends series. I have to admit to being very curious as to how this series would end and afraid that I was doomed to disappointment. Even though I hate saying goodbye to characters that feel more like family then fiction, I was more than delighted after finishing this book. I think fans will also be pleased with the danger, excitement and highly emotional elements that come through so clearly with all of Ms. Banks’ stories.
