Lord Kilmore by Tara Greenbaum is the story of S.W.A.T. team member Christian Kilmore and photographer Natalie Johann. After Christian mistakenly breaks through Natalie’s bedroom window, and gets a view of her fresh from the shower, he wants her more then any other woman before. Natalie is depressed and alone on her birthday until she meets Christian. Natalie plans to make her birthday end up better then she hoped.

Christian is a great hero. He is an alpha male who has no problems being with a strong, independent woman. He comes from royalty but he doesn’t use it to get what he wants. He also has no problem letting Natalie know exactly how he feels, good or bad. He has his faults, but he quickly realizes them. Natalie is another great character. She’s smart and she knows how to take care of herself. She doesn’t spend her time crying about what she doesn’t have. Tara Greenbaum has written a very sweet and charming love story. Though a novella, Lord Kilmore is refreshing and my emotions were right there with the characters. This story was everything I could ask for in a novella, and I’m looking forward to reading more by Tara Greenbaum.
