Christmas Cookies: Frost Bite

Christmas is a horrible time for Julian. It is even worse since the death of his love, Jacklyn, three years ago. So when he wakes up in bed with the three Fates who took her from him, he is not happy. Until he hears that they made a mistake, and he has three days with Jack to correct it. Can it really be true – Jack back in his life? But what is the cost? How can he fix the mistake in only three days?

This story may be short, but that doesn't mean it won't put your emotions through the wringer. The start had me hooked; and I was eager to read the book to find out the conclusion. You can feel the pain and sadness Julian feels at having lost his beloved Jacklyn, and you can't help but experience it with him. Then the hope as Jack is back in his arms, and the desperateness not to lose her again. When she is in danger a second time, the reader can feel his anguish at the choice he has to make. But is there a happy ending? You'll have to read it to find out. Julian is a great character, kinky, a little dark, and hiding a secret. Jack is the perfect match for him with a sweet, but naughty nature. These two light up the sheets (and the balcony, and the kitchen), but there is a very raw quality about their interludes that make it very believable. I wish that Frost Bite had been a little longer, as sex dominated the story and the ending felt rushed, but overall, I enjoyed rooting for Julian and Jack.
