Syn is a woman scorned. Since a bad breakup she has become more and more insulated from the outside world. When her best friend, Jian, begs her to go to a new club Syn only goes because she realizes that if she doesn’t break out of her self made prison she never will.

Micah is the owner of Club Immortality. When Syn walks through the door he realizes that she is the one that will change him and the club forever. Now if he can only convince her of that.

This is a great beginning to a series that is sure to be good. Club Immortality: Lay Me Down introduces us to the club and its owners. The Club is not your typical nightclub, it’s a place where the supernatural beings of the world can be themselves and let their guard down. Taige Crenshaw has written a great outline for a world and I can’t wait to find out more about its occupants and their powers. Syn is a woman who has let a bad break up dictate how she feels about herself and her powers. Micah is just the man to make her feel better, he is a human but he is mysterious and powerful in his own right. He needs Syn as much as she needs him, and the Club needs them both. A great short story!
