Dena Lyksandr is the ruler of her world; she also has prophetic dreams that are sent to her by the life force of her world. In order to protect her world from destruction and to fight off hostile invaders from the stars she must act on these visions to save her people’s way of life.

Krys/Darian is the man that her visions tell her is her lifemate. But Krys is from the stars, and Dena can’t see how this will work since to leave her world is to die. But, she will do anything to save her world, including sacrificing her role as leader and her life.

Starlit Destiny is a marvel. It is a complicated novel of world building prowess from Annalee Blysse. This story is filled with action, adventure, space pirates, and love. The characters are engaging and the love story between the two is fraught with tension and misunderstandings. Dena is interesting as a woman torn between personal fulfillment and the salvation of her world. Krys/Darian was a delight as an angst filled hero. Guilt over previous actions has shaped him into the person he is today, and it’s up to Dena to help him heal. Lyn, as Darian’s friend and partner, serves as an inside to the events that have so changed Darian. A very entertaining read!
