Shadows on the Soul

Gabriel is a five-hundred-year-old vampire bent on revenge against his father. Nothing will satisfy him, but to seek vengeance for old betrayals. He has been labeled a Killer, and has spent his life living up to that reputation.

Jezebel is Gabriel’s fledgling with a tortured soul of her own. She has the ability to see inside Gabriel and knows what truly lies in his heart. Can she get through five-hundred years of anger and bitterness and show him what she sees? Can she help him understand and forgive himself?

When an ancient enemy targets Jezebel, Gabriel might have to put his plans for vengeance aside and ask his father for help. Will they be able to mend their relationship after all this time? Or will the past destroy them all?

Shadows on the Soul has it all, sexy vampires, suspense, intrigue, vengeance, romance, and passion. Tortured souls find solace, understanding, redemption, and forgiveness. Jenna Black has taken the world of vampires and spun it into a tale of good versus evil, Guardians versus Killers. It is a thrill ride paranormal romance readers will thoroughly enjoy. The main characters are well-crafted and believable. The secondary characters are woven in with skill and make this story an excellent read. I love Jezebel and how she sees herself in Gabriel and understands him when know one else can. Her reactions to growing up with an abusive grandmother and a terminal illness are realistic. Gabriel is a tormented soul, and it is hard to see him as a hero in the beginning of the story. But, Jenna Black weaves his transformation with finesse. This one will have you fanning yourself from the heat coming off the pages! It’s scorching. This is the first time I have read a book by this author, but from my experience with this book, I am definitely coming back for more.
