Dressage Cowboy
Jessica is practically as defiant as her horse, Olga, until a handsome cowboy rides in the warm-up arena. The dressage rider doesn’t feel intimated as she rides her gelding, but for a moment she wishes she had put on a bit of lipstick. What is it about the cowboy’s physique that sends vibrations all over her body? The magazine Romeo is igniting all the right buttons with just a simple glance. Frank is looking forward to the dressage show. It has been a good while since he has actually seen a real dressage expedition. Jessica pushes away any desires to even be noticed by the suave cowboy, but Frank pursues the somewhat snooty lady. When Jessica sees how grand of a rider Frank is with his horse, she is intrigued. With not much time to spare, Frank can only hope he can use his magic to teach her not to be resistant.
I found Dressage Cowboy to be a charming read. I love horses, and Olga seems to be in a category all her own. The way horse and rider can almost feel the emotions coming from the other is astounding. The actions between Jessica and Frank, even though quickly introduced, left me believing there could be more in store for them. Nancy A. Lindley-Gauthier pens an interesting read about horses, romance and how our actions, and emotions, can often impact things we do in life. I look forward to more of her stories.
