Hot Visions
Susan Wright has a secret she hides from people. It is almost like a curse to be able to touch and steal memories of others. Tired of living under a mistake she made ten years ago, she decides to start living life for Susan and no one else. She is eager to be wild and crazy and do something she has wanted to do for eleven months and two days. Her true self desires Jake Matherly and she intends to have him. Once she arrives at his apartment she wonders can she pull it off. Jake is surprised when Susan knocks at his door. He can’t believe after eleven months, of not hearing from her, she magically shows up and wants to sleep with him. After all those times of turning him down, he is to believe her now. Holding back the real revelations to why she has waited so long, Susan fears to tell him the truth. Can Jake really believe she holds a real interest for him or is there another reason behind the visit? Getting to close to Jake brings on an unsuspecting vision, as well as drives her out of his arms and apartment, leaving Jake curious as to what is really going on. He is determined to uncover the truth and be with the woman he has wanted from the start. After Jake finds himself thrown into a murder investigation, it appears Susan sees revelations that just might be helpful, unless the killer gets to her first.
I must say Hot Visions lives up to its title. I have to admit Susan is one spirited woman. Just visualizing the expressions on hers and Jakes face when she heads over to his apartment, and approaches him, is priceless. Jake has a charisma that steams from the pages. I like his attitude and style, not to mention how he cares for Susan in his own way. This story is full of intensity that engages the reader. Leigh Wyndfield creates a powerful read where this reader can almost see Jake envisioning his every move in finding the killer. She keeps the writing flowing consistent to not lose the readers interest. With a great plot, in-depth characters, and twists and turns that keep the reader on their toes, this is one recommended read that I thoroughly enjoyed immensely. One shouldn’t miss this breathless and enticing read.
