The scientist in biologist Jamie Winters battles with every other force inside her after she is turned into a Siren. Suddenly she is less calculating and logical than she is accustomed to being. She is ruled by her body, feeling sudden urges that she cannot control. Seth, ruler of his undersea realm, loves it that Jamie is oblivious to her sensual attraction. He feels the water itself draw him as if it was a lover whose call cannot be ignored. The test between them comes when they are forced to accept their situation and work together to restore the natural order to his world. Will earth-shattering sex be enough to keep these two together after they accomplish their mission? Or will it just be the glue that holds them together for the short span of time required to reach their goal?

Renee Field did a great job with this story. The characters are so unusual they are more intriguing than most. They are strong and capable enough to fit the profiles of heroes and heroines we have in our heads from movies and such. I enjoyed listening to the way these two spoke. Their interactions, even those without a physical nature, were like a dance done beneath the waves. As such, everything they did seemed lyrical and magical. The romance is hot, sensual and well written. Rapture is the sort of story that makes the reader hope that the characters find a happy ending, not just for themselves but for all those counting on them. I wasn’t real sure what would happen until the very ending so the suspense kept me riveted. Well done!
