The Billionaire Who Bought Christmas

All fashion designer Kristy Mahoney wants to do is to fly to Los Angeles where she’ll meet clothing store owner Cleveland Osland and his designing team. If they like her sketches and her designs, she could be in for the ride of her life if they decided to hire her to design their gowns. She meets Osland’s plane at the JFK Airport and is even talking to his grandson and nephew when suddenly there is an “indicator light” on the plane, and now Kristy must face her greatest fear of dying on the airplane. Jack Osland, Cleveland’s grandson, tells her that everything will be fine, and they’ll land in Las Vegas and spend a few hours there while the plane is fixed. As long as the plane lands without killing them, she doesn’t care where she’ll spend a few hours while they work on the plane. She may not be so happy about her time spent in Las Vegas when she discovers the real reason that she spent time there was thanks to Jack Osland.

Jack is sick and tired of his grandfather marrying the blonde bimbos and losing more and more of his money to them every time that it happens. He knows that the woman who is meeting the plane to fly to Los Angeles is another bimbo, and he is determined to stop this marriage once and for all. The trip to Vegas seems the perfect opportunity to win her away from his grandfather. Jack figures that as long as Kristy has a rich young husband, after he tricks her into signing a prenuptial agreement, she’ll be happy and leave Cleveland alone. The problem with this is that Kristy is nothing like he expected her to be. He married the wrong woman, and Kristy wants this marriage to be real.

Barbara Dunlop definitely can make you fall in love with a romance book. This book was sexy and funny, and I couldn’t put it down until I had read the very last word of the book. This book was a perfect Christmas tale because it was the story of a man who had his trust in women destroyed, and Kristy was the perfect one to restore it for Jack. She didn’t do anything like he thought she would do; no wanting of a gown or jewelry, no window shopping and wishing that he would buy her stuff, she didn’t even want a new toothbrush for the stay in Vegas. She did however give him all of her love, devotion and proof that she was the perfect wife for him. There will be a second story coming out of this book in February for the cousin that was with Jack on the plane. This story involves Kristy’s sisters, and I’m looking forward to reading it. I’m sure that it will be just as in engrossing as this one was.
