Familiar Strangers
Calliope Marchant has come to the family holiday house for peace and quiet; the last person she wants to see is Mitchell Taylor. He was her first love, and the pain of their break up is as fresh today as it was sixteen years ago. But maybe hot sex with Mitch is what she needs to forget being brutally attached; after all, he always knew how to make her forget everything but him. Could he be the answer to erasing her nightmares?
In Familiar Strangers Keziah Hill takes the classic lovers re-united tale and makes it her own. This is no tired old tale. With great skill Ms. Hill has woven a tale full of emotion and you find yourself riding the waves of love, loss and lust, as well as wondering whether these two re-united lovers can make it work a second time around. Callie carries scars from her recent attack and must decide what her future holds, while Mitch thinks he has this all mapped out, only to have Callie burst back into his life and turn it all around again. The chemistry between them is combustible and has you squirming in your seat and your palms sweating. Ms. Hill writes with a style that flows. There are no stop starts in this book; it just slides beautifully from one scene to the next. The nontraditional aspects are not extreme but offer enough to appeal to all levels of liking, and the way Mitch introduces Callie to this new experience is written so well that you can’t miss the love he feels for her. With skill and a style all her own, Ms. Hill has crafted a great story that will engage you from the very first words.
