Wanna Play
Jas is a lethally sexy, sleek, fiery woman who knows what she wants and is never afraid to go after it. She takes no prisoners, shoots first, and asks questions later. She will warn you once, but not twice and should you see her coming, run because hell is coming with her. A betrayal long ago taught her never to trust anyone other than herself. While working on a movie, her past comes back to haunt her…with a vengeance. Now fighting for her life, she must find those who want her dead before those she loves the most are the next targets. Refusing to let the past happen again, she embarks on a deadly mission that will take her iron will and every skill she possesses to stay alive. What she is not looking for is the instant white-hot attraction to the bodyguard who is more than what he tries to portray.
Samuel ‘Blaster’ knows a sexy woman when he sees one. And the danger pouring out of her sexy skin makes him want to do things that are illegal in all fifty states. When he first lays eyes on her, he knows she is the one that is going to complete his soul. Now if he can just get her to see that he is more than her Huck Finn and a good ole country boy then they could get somewhere. However, before all that he must show her that he is man enough to let her be a woman and do what she needs to. Although his mate somehow thinks she can do this without him, Blaster knows better. He is not going anywhere and the sooner she gets used to it the better. He knows he is all she needs all that she could ever want and if it needs to be proven… he will be her Huckleberry.
This book is killer! I have always known Gail Faulkner had wonderful writing skills, but this book takes her and her readers to a whole other level of reading. She shows us how a woman can be dangerous and still maintain the semblance of womanhood, the very essence of what it is to be a woman. The female lead is dangerous, knows how to be a woman, and can love all at the same time. This story is the Moody Blues meets the Hood. Wanna Play does not disappoint. You will also get a chance to see all the Ghost Unit members. They add to this wonderful tale without overwhelming it. The balance is perfect. I have always been impressed with Ms. Faulkner’s books, but never more than now. I am thrilled how she has shown us that her men can be protective without being smothering, and how her woman can be equal to the men without having to emasculate them. You have done a good job Ms. Faulkner and I am looking forward to reading her again! Congratulations!
