Moving Target
Ani King entered the Witness Security Program to protect her from the Russian mafia that murdered her family. Due to a moment of weakness, she reached out to a friend from her former life and the mafia has found her again. Deputy Marshal Daniel Parker is her contact and her savior. He is the man who can keep her alive to be witness at the trial.
Ani is a wonderful heroine. She was forced to leave everything and everyone behind when she entered the program. She is an extremely strong woman with strong beliefs. Daniel is a perfect for her. He is definitely all male and yet, there is tenderness at his very core. These two have tremendous chemistry together as they light up the pages. The eroticism is perfectly woven within the story as it wasn’t way over the top. The introduction of Jenn, Ani’s sister and her storyline was a great addition. It brought poignancy to the book.
Ms. McCray’s latest novel is a riveting tale that brings the reader to the edge of their seat. The story moves at a quick pace and action packed from the start until the end. It will definitely take you on a ride that leaves you breathless and wanting more. The lead couple is entertaining and likable. The author does put them through the ringer but it cements their relationship. This reader liked how she incorporated their sexuality within the story. She provided a 360 view on what made them tick and why this couple was successful as a twosome. Once again, Ms. McCray has written a winner!
