Talista, Crown Princess of the fairy Clan Serendipity, is supposed to attend a survival training camp, but she has other plans of her own. Every fairy has an emergency spellglobe in bedded in a tooth that will transport them to the closest fairy ring. Talista wants her twin sister, Anisette to fill her spellglobe with more power. Talista is fascinated with humans and wants to observe them. She decides Las Vegas is a good place to go. There she meets Jake Story. Jake is a magician at Merlin’s Cave.

One of the fairies, Elder Embor, who is destined to be boundmates with either Talista or her sister, hears Talista is missing. He is outraged. He gathers a hunting party to find her. Elder tracks Talista to Vegas. Talista isn’t ready to leave Vegas, so she enlists the help of Jake to keep Elder from catching her and bringing her back to her world. Jake is falling for a fairy, but is it magic or true love?

I liked this story a lot. What a fun book Survival of the Fairest was. Talista may be concerned that she will stick out, but in Vegas where anything goes, she has nothing to worry about. For a human Jake is pretty cute. I enjoyed reading when Talista first experienced human food and alcohol. Things between Talista and Jake get really hot and heavy in the bedroom. I was wondering how it was all going to turn out between Jake and Talista, and I have to say I was happy with the ending. Survival of the Fairest is my first book by Jody Wallace, and I loved every minute of it.
