Elevator Magic

Lanie Stevens is a thirty-something model who has been replaced by younger models. She has aged and put on additional weight, so now she is experiencing mild BDD, or body dysmorphic disorder. Her friend Angie tells her that the only way she will get over it, is to have cosmetic surgery or go to therapy. Lanie opts to attend therapy. However, at the end of her weekly sessions, she finds herself waiting like an anxious schoolgirl for the appearance of Richard Sauter, an executive who works in the building. For two months Lanie has drooled over him and dreamed of him. One day after a session, she waits near the elevator like always, but this time, Richard gets on the elevator alone. On the way down, the elevator picks up another man—a drop-dead gorgeous man. When the elevator is stuck between floors, the stranger prompts them to get to know each other better. Their clothes seem to magically and mysteriously drop away. Lanie is overcome with lust, but not only for Richard, but for the stranger as well. One thing leads to another and before they know it, they are having a menage. Afterward, the stranger tells Lanie and Richard they should explore the attraction between them. After all, Angie asked him to give Lanie and little push. Will Lanie and Richard move forward with their attraction, or will it be a once-in-a-lifetime experience?

Elevator Magic was a delightful story. Although it was short, the passion and excitement drew me into their situation. To be stuck in an elevator with two handsome men—what red-blooded woman doesn’t fantasize about that? Lanie represented many women, not only models, who begin to question their own beauty and sensuality. Elevator Magic took Lanie’s dilemma, tossed in two sexy men and turned up the heat to nuclear. The story was hot, hot, hot. K.Z. Snow knows how to write a story that will burn up not only the pages of her books, but heat up the reader as well.
