By Appointment Only

The day that Morgan Webber saw Hannah Quarles run out of the church and avoid cars as she ran to her car he fell in love with her and decided that she would spend her life with him. Unfortunately Hannah doesn’t necessarily agree with him. She loves him, and the sex between them is phenomenal. But her father only married her mother long enough to put his name on her birth certificate then they divorced. Her mother proceeded to have one affair after another and now only calls Hannah if she needs money. When Morgan proposes, she takes his ring but in the back of her mind she questions whether or not she can marry him. Then she reads about a new form of premarital sex counseling that just might either make or break their relationship.

Morgan’s life was totally different that Hannah’s. His parents have been married for years and years, and he knows that they should be together. He agrees to go to the counseling session to prove that he really loves her, and he tells her that after they do the session she has to set a wedding date. She agrees, but then unforeseen things happen and maybe this couple doesn’t really need to be together after all. Only time will tell.

I was very impressed with this book. The blurb says that it is about Hannah and Morgan, but as the couple start therapy you meet two other couples and you want them to succeed in their romance just like you want Hannah and Morgan to succeed in theirs. I loved the way that Ms. Maynard worked it so that all couples got equal time in therapy and had time to work on their problems. Another favorite part of the book for me was the fact that Hannah and Morgan were already engaged as the book started to take shape. I like the fact that she showed that even if you’re engaged you still have problems to be worked through, and they can be if you’re with the right person. By Appointment Only turned out to be an awesome book to read, and I think that you’re going to agree with me when you pick up a copy.
