The Guardian

Bryan has always been aware of his guardian. While Jaden St. Ives has fulfilled all of his material needs, he has yet to grant his young charge’s one true desire granted. Bryan wants to meet his guardian. With the ushering in of a new birthday comes the determination to have his wish granted by any means necessary. When Bryan finally gains access to Jaden, will he run from his guardian’s secrets or will he embrace him as a lover and accept him with open arms?

The Guardian is like no book I have ever read. The imagery created by Mr. Shayne Carmichael is wonderfully detailed. I could almost see Bryan playing his violin and hear the notes echoing across my room. Bryan knew he loved Jaden for quite some time, and wanted to get a glimpse of the man behind the kindness. I respected the fact that he dealt with the problem directly and went after what he wanted. Jaden was trying to compensate for a past mistake. I envied Bryan upon realizing the lengths Jaden went to just for the opportunity to be with him one last time. Jaden was a truly romantic man in my eyes due to that one gesture alone. I loved how these characters connected on various levels. Their lovemaking was fervent and all encompassing. Mr. Carmichael is a wonderful author with the ability to write passionate stories filled with fascinating characters. The Guardian will awaken your senses and leave you sated.
