Forgotten Kisses

Anjelia Romere has been recuperating from a horrific marriage that scarred her physically and mentally. As the owner of a gym she sees a few different characters come through her doors, especially now that Julian Bax has taken ownership of the bar next door. She’s sure he’s a vampire, but isn’t positive until the day someone outs him to her in his bar. Now she’s faced with a vampire that’s been showing signs of attraction since the beginning, but is really amping it up now that she knows and hasn’t freaked out.

When Leo Freedman opens her eyes to more than just the vampire way of life, Anjelia is caught between worlds, part of them all but wholly in none. Can she survive straddling them all and will she ever know her own mind with the powers that the paranormal denizens have?

Forgotten Kisses was an interesting twist of shapeshifters and vampires as known entities in the human world. Knowing about them and accepting them are definitely two different things in Rena Marks’ book. I did have a hard time watching Anjelia seemingly be played with as nothing more than a toy to be fought over. Both Julian and Leo were unique characters, but I never really ‘got’ them. There were a number of scenes that heated the blood and were truly fantastic to read. However as a whole the story confused me more than amused me.
