Mismatched
Tessa Dennison has not had any luck in the romance department. Tired of all the blind dates she has been set up on by friends and family, Tessa takes her love life into her own hands. She decides the Internet has been a great place for her friends to meet their significant others so she should give it a try. But she needs a little help from her childhood best friend, Justin, to screen the guy’s she is interested in. Justin has other plans for Tessa since he has been in love with her for years. Could the love of her life been right under her radar the entire time?
Mismatched was a humorous, romantic short novel. I felt as though I was the diary that both Tessa and Justin confided in.
Justin seemed willing to “play nice” as long as the other males in Tessa’s life didn’t play in his sandbox too long. Tessa was confident in her professional life but chose to let others control her love life. She seemed as if she needed to take some risks.
The secondary characters were a great addition to this novel. I could relate to Tessa and her friends when I read about Tessa’s mother, Ms. Lorraine.
Mismatched was the first novel that I have read by the talented Ms. Major and she is an author that I plan to keep an eye on.
