Lion Tamers

Sprint car driver Morgan Blade has agreed to be on a racing reality show. She desperately needs the money to keep her racing team alive and pay her father’s accumulating medical bills. Tyler Dalton is the producer for the show. Part of his job is to find weaknesses in the contestant to exploit for “good television.” His boss also wants Morgan off the show because he doesn’t think a woman should be in racing. Tyler is impressed with Morgan and very attracted to her although a woman is the last thing he needs in his life at the moment. Morgan is equally attracted to Tyler but she doesn’t have time for relationships and besides, she is such a failure at them. Tyler knows Morgan has a secret and it is his job to uncover it and expose her, but will he expose her secrets or will he choose Morgan over his career?

With the popularity of NASCAR and the series that are already out there about racing, I wasn’t sure I wanted to read another one but this title excels at bringing the reader into the world of racing. The racing in this book is not NASCAR but it was just as interesting. I loved the character of Morgan from the first page and became emotionally entangled with her for the entire book. I cried when she cried and I laughed when she laughed. I wasn’t as quickly taken with Tyler but it didn’t take me long to start rooting for him also. Sutton Fox’s characterizations are so real that you feel like you know these characters personally. Because I was so involved with the characters, I wanted to run out and race a race car myself and if Morgan can do it, who says I can’t! I am thrilled that Lion Tamers is the start of a series. I can’t wait to see what will happen next! I am recommending this title to everyone I meet!
