I really enjoyed Wages of Sin by Jenna Maclaine. I love the premise of a band of vampires who are the enforcers of right and wrong for the vampire community. And I loved Dulcinea’s story. Dulcie is already an unusual woman for her time period in that she has inherited her home and her father’s money directly and doesn’t need to depend on someone else to manage her affairs. Plus she is a very powerful woman. She has a number of very loyal friends and family who put their lives on the line to try and help her defeat the evil that is pursuing her. Then she has to make the very difficult decision about if she can trust The Righteous, knowing that she could be not only endangering herself but those she loves and protects. The Righteous are a wonderful group that bring humor, honor, and protection to Dulcie and her family and Michael personally brings more, a chance at romance and love that Dulcie has never experienced. And what a chance he is. Michael is sin walking; every woman’s fantasy of an angel brought to life that wants only you! Wages of Sin is a fantastic beginning for a new paranormal series and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in the sequel! I highly recommend Wages of Sin for anyone who loves vampires, witches, or paranormal in general.
