As a vampire, Georges Bellveau has to have great self control to keep the monster at bay while he does what he must to feed and survive in a world that constantly changes around him. Being a vampire does give him powers such as super speed and strength but that might not be enough to help him.

Georges has avoided falling in love with any woman after the last woman he fell in love with and told of him being a vampire went out into the sunlight and exploded into dust when she couldn’t handle the inner struggle of being a vampire. But now Georges finds himself falling in love with Diane Patterson and is ready to cut off their relationship before it goes any further. When they are both threatened by another creature of the night, Georges must do everything in his power to protect them both then decide if he can live without Diane or if he can live with revealing his secret and how she might react.

In the Dark by Rob Graham is an intriguing vampire tale. Georges is a complex character that must deal with his own inner struggles of what is right and wrong while being very careful to not reveal his immortality to those around him. I enjoyed watching Georges deal with every situation that came his way while trying to uphold his own set of morals. I also liked Diane even though there wasn’t much about her or their relationship until the end of the story. 4 Angels.
