When Marrok finds Olivia, the woman he believes is Morganna, he tries to get her to release him from the curse, but Olivia denies being a witch even though Marrok knows that she is the woman from his dreams. But after taking her back to his home, Marrok and Olivia learn that she is a descendent of Morganna’s and that the book that his curse was written in has the power to doom anyone with magical powers if it landed in the wrong hands. With so many people after the sacred tome, how do they know if they are trusting the right people?

Tempt Me with Darkness is a fascinating tale by author Shayla Black . I hate to admit that this was the first story I’ve read by this talented author, but now I feel like I’ve something new and exciting to add to my overflowing shelves. I had mixed feelings about Marrok at the beginning because of his treatment of Olivia but came around shortly after. I loved the mix of mystical, magical and legend that was woven together to produce a first rate story that delights and entertains.
