Soul Bonds
Soul Bonds by Lynn Lorenz is a homoerotic contemporary story.
Sammi is on the run from Donovan, and he will do anything to stay free after all of the physical, sexual and emotional abuse he has endured at Donovan‘s hands. He has been picking up men to have some place to stay for the night. After almost getting caught by Donovan’s henchman Moretti, Sammi finds his way into a club and gets the surprise of his life when he contacts his soul mate, Mitchell. You see, Sammi can read other peoples thoughts and feel their feelings, but up to now the bonds were nothing like what he feels with Mitchell. Mitchell feels the same connection, but he doesn’t understand its significance until much later. Mitchell’s life is in a rut, and he hasn’t had more than one night stands in a very long time. When he meets Sammi, it hits him like a sledgehammer. Against his better judgment, Mitchell takes Sammi home, and they come together like a match to gasoline, instantaneously combusting with the most erotic experience they have ever had. The next day things couldn’t be better between Sammi and Mitchell, but don’t forget that Donovan isn’t quite ready to give up on his property. Will Sammi and Mitchell find a way to stay out of Donovan’s clutches or is their blossoming love doomed?
Ms. Lorenz has blended a contemporary story with a paranormal flare that combines to create a fascinating story. It was intriguing to read how Sammi was able to use his special abilities to keep him alive when he was on his own when he was younger. Unfortunately, Sammi came across a very unscrupulous man and almost paid the price; the story is unfortunately a common one for people that live on the streets. The emotional/ psychic link between Sammi and Mitchell was captivating to watch as it unfolded. It was remarkable how Mitchell just accepted it as part of who Sammi was. If everyone could accept other people’s differences, the world would be a better place. I am looking forward to reading other books by Ms. Lorenz. Thanks go to Ms. Lorenz for a very interesting book.
