Paul Graham is cool as ice, both in his profession as a lawyer and as a person. Nothing ruffles him and all his emotions are muted. In his sleep he dreams of mazes and puzzles that he has to solve.

Kian is a fire brand of a man. He is sensual and oozes sex with every breath. Four years ago Paul rescued him from a fate worse than death and now Kian is going to pay Paul back, whether Paul remembers him or not.

There really isn’t much I can say about this book without giving away vital information and I don’t want to do that. Rowan McBride has written a delightful, delicious, erotically charged cream-filled dessert of a book. Paul and Kian are perfect complements to each other. Paul is so emotionally distant cold while Kian is fire and passion personified. Each tempers the other and makes the whole stronger while still allowing their vulnerabilities show through. While the favorite part of Paul’s Dream, for me, was the characters, it in no way means that the plot was lacking. The plot was well written and kept me engaged throughout the story but, my love of the characters made me anxious to get back to their interactions. Mr. McBride has written characters so deceptively simple that it isn’t until the end you realize just how complex they really are. Not to mention that, but Rowan McBride displays a wonderful talent for world building that show just how imaginative and inventive he can be. Paul’s Dream flowed seamlessly from scene to scene with no bumps along the way. This one is a winner with me!
