Meeting Mr. Right OnLine
It has been three years since Lucinda Kelley had a real boyfriend, and she is tired of being with losers. She is a staff writer for a local cable television network. Of course, no matter how good her stories, she feels it is still a man’s world when they seem to get more recognition. Busy with her job, she rarely finds time for dating. Then she learns her younger sister is engaged, and someone much younger, and more refreshing, is getting more writing credits than she at work. With no time for a social life, Lucy starts chatting online to a nice man. Julian lives in London and sounds like a nice gentleman of sorts, and for the past eight months, she has learned about his personal life. Lucy would one day like to meet him, but being miles in distance, she feels it is a lost cause. Julian F. Crawford considers Lucy his online buddy. He would like to meet the perky gal he talks to. As the talks progress, Julian gets the opportunity to go to the States. It is a while before Lucy hears from her online buddy and begins to worry, until the engagement party for her sister arrives, and Lucy really gets a surprise.
Meeting Mr. Right OnLine is a great read. I thought Lucy was a delight. She is like the typical sibling who shows a bit of the green-eyed monster when she hears about her sister’s news. I like the plot with Lucy and Julian communicating by chat and how they develop feelings for the other without even meeting. She shows her human side when deep down she wants to meet Julian, but another side of her wonders is she really ready. I could feel her enthusiasm at times and wanted to jump up and down with her. Cindy K. Green fashions a read with wit, elegance and a touch of romance. The cast of well-rounded characters blend well in the making of this tantalizing story. Ms. Green always crafts an entertaining read.
