Coming Attractions
Toni Sinclair is down to her last few dollars, she’s just quit her job and things aren’t looking good. A chance encounter with a six foot Amazon named Suze in a bar gives Toni the opportunity to earn enough money to pay off her debts and get back on her feet. There’s just one catch. She not only needs to get naked, she needs to have sex with a guy she’s never met before.
Paul Whittaker has seen it all, filmed it all, nothing in the business gets him off and he’s definitely over dating anyone who works in front of the camera. Jaded by the game and the people playing it, Paul isn’t expecting to feel anything for the newcomer, Toni. Sure she’s got a hot body and any man with a pulse would want to do her, but what about all the other things she makes him feel? And why does he want to be the only man looking at her, touching her?
Coming Attractions by Sahara Kelly and S.L. Carpenter takes us behind the scenes of an adult film set, delving into the steamy sex and colorful characters. Every character that steps onto the page comes to life, from the quirky off-beat soundman’s wife, to the sultry Suze and the egotistical Nick; every one of them fills Coming Attractions to bursting. I’m not sure how they manage it but Sahara Kelly and S.L. Carpenter seamlessly join styles to give us a hot, sexually explicit and often funny look at behind the scenes of this movie. With a luscious back drop, hot bodies and even hotter sex you’ll be reaching for something cold to cool you down in no time. Toni takes her walk into the world of adult movies with her eyes open but still finds herself surprised by not only the people she meets but by what she feels while baring herself for the cameras. I particularly enjoyed the way each character dealt with being in the ‘industry’. I found their opinions and feelings to ring true and could quite easily accept Coming Attractions as a non-fiction book. This is the first of S.L. Carpenter’s books I’ve read but it won’t be the last. In particular I’ll be watching for more co-authored books by this pair of talented storytellers.
