For Lea Reynolds having psychic dreams is not unusual, but she’s never had them like this before. For weeks she’s been plagued by nightmares of being chased, hunted down and she knows that what she’s dreamt of are the women who are being murdered in Oklahoma City. But without knowing who the killer is she can’t go to the police, they’d never believe her. After seeing the lead detective on the TV and suffering yet another nightmare Lea does the only thing she can: offers what she knows.

For Chase Montgomery the psychotic killer running loose in Oklahoma City is all he thinks about. When the gorgeous Lea turns up at the precinct with information on the latest victim, he thanks her and sends her on her way. They don’t have a victim matching the description she gave and considering she looks remarkably like the last victim he doesn’t know what to think. But when the next body matches the information she gave him he’s forced to seek her out.

Thrown together by the connection Lea has with the killer, Chase can’t fight the feelings developing between them. Getting more involved every day they must not only find the madman to stop the killing but to stop him from claiming his next victim: Lea.

Deadly Dreams is a great story of love against adversity. Chase and Lea couldn’t be more different and without the connection of the killer they never would have met. It’s obvious from their first meeting that there is something between them and as we watch them fall in love we watch a killer get closer. Rie McGaha has done a great job of bringing her psychotic killer to life. Lucius McKenna is what all serial killers should be. With a superior attitude and a next door boy façade his spree of terror is nail biting. Ms. McGaha doesn’t leave out any of the details when it comes to him and his activities, giving a very insightful glimpse into the mind of a madman. Chase is everything a hunky dedicated cop should be and he’s just as dedicated to Lea once he gives his heart. Lea is just the right mix of tough and vulnerable, and it’s her strength that attracted me to her. If you like suspense and drama mixed in with your hot sex then Deadly Dreams is worth picking up and I’m looking forward to what Ms. McGaha offers next.
