Walk on the Wild Side
When a car accident brings out the animal in Kitty Sugarman — literally, her entire world is turned upside-down. She contacts the man she now knows is her father and travels to Las Vegas to meet him. On that trip her entire world is changed. Upon arriving she’s thrust into Pride politics and is faced with a very virile male, one Marcus Stewart. Kitty is faced with her father’s other family and the very real danger they represent, and Marcus’ seemingly uncontrollable reactions to her…not to mention having to learn about her newfound abilities.
With small town common sense and a firm view on right and wrong, Kitty is a very charming heroine and one I’d like to see more of in coming stories. Marcus was the perfect match for her, gentle yet firm when needed. He was unlike a lot of ‘Alpha’ heroes out there; he knew that he didn’t have all the answers, even when he held all the information. I was impressed my Ms. Warren’s ability to create a hero without the sometimes annoying trait of being all-knowing…for her own good of course. As with each of the Others books, Walk on the Wild Side is a fully realized tale with amazing characters and intriguing plots. I hope that we will be able to see more of other communities beyond the core group in the previous books. Although I love revisiting them as well, I believe the best thing to say is, more please?
