Black Opal
Black Opal is book three of Sandra Cox’s Amulets series. The publisher claims this book can be read stand alone but I do not recommend it. Each book is a continuation of the events from the book before and building to a climatic ending of good verses evil in the final book. The other women who possess amulets from the first two books are back in this book with Sabina.
Black Opal starts where Rose Quartz left off with Sabina Comte pursuing her singing career and Adam Morelly, who met her at Maureen’s wedding, is pursuing Sabina. Victoria Price, the daughter of Victor Price and just as insane as he was, is after Sabina’s power amulet and she also is determined to take Adam too. Sabina doesn’t know what to think about the powerful attraction she feels for Adam but she just can’t quite trust him or believe that he really just wants her and not her amulet. Victoria Price will stop at nothing to get what she wants and she plans to kill Sabina and get both the power amulet and Adam. Will Sabina wait too long to trust Adam and get one or both of them killed? And can she let Maureen and Bella help her without putting them at risk too?
I love this series. Each story is as good as or better than the next and I can’t wait for the next book to find out what will happen now. Sabina is a very head strong woman and I wanted to shake her when she is too stubborn to acknowledge how she feels about Adam until she almost loses him forever! Adam has his issues with pride too and if he’d have been a little more direct up front about why he was involved he and Sabina could have avoided some heartache. Maureen and Bella are just as marvelous as they were in their own books and I really enjoyed their contributions to this story. There are no hints towards the next story but there are five amulets so there should be two more books. I can’t wait! If you haven’t read the first two books in this series, go get them. If you have read the first two books, then you know you are in for a treat with this one! I highly recommend Black Opal and the whole series!
