After being ordered to find the alchemist bible, Lela, a fire mage, sets out on a journey that will forever change her life. She finds the man who last had possession of the bible and buy’s him as her slave for three months to cover the damage he caused by fighting in a tavern. He claims that the book was stolen from him. They set out to retrieve it, but unbeknown to them, there are forces at work that are determined that neither one of them ever lay hands on the bible that is reported to hold magic that could change the world forever.

Greyhawke Tams has served his time in the warlord’s army and just wants to spend the rest of his time farming with the occasional scavenging on the side, but it appears his scavenging is what has gotten him into this situation and running for his life with a fire mage who is turning him inside out with her delectable body and knack for reading auras.

Imagine a world divided into two groups, one’s with magical abilities and the common folk. Author Maria Zannini has created such a world with her debut release Touch of Fire. It’s a world where you never really know what you will discover next. From lions and elephants roaming the land to the fall of civilization as we know it today, I was totally engrossed in the story that Ms. Zannini wove and the unique characters that lived there. With the many magical factions in this new world, the possibilities are endless, and I’d love to be able to immerse myself in it again soon!

Touch of Fire is an entertaining and memorable read with a lot of spice. You won’t want to miss this story, and I think that Maria Zannini is an author to watch! 5 Angels.
