In Heat

Jax has to suffer through yearly mating cycles. For 24 hours he is an easy target for anyone who wants him dead. This year, it has come at the worst time. After spending seven years in exile for a crime he didn’t commit, Jax is planning to return home and claim his birthright. Before he can go home though, he needs to find a willing partner and get through this cycle. Jax ends up buying the slave Waverly. He plans to use her for his needs, and then allow her to go free. There is just one problem: Waverly is not really a slave. She is a pilot who was double crossed, but before she can escape from Jax, her own heat cycle kicks in. Now stuck together, these two must get through not only the intense needs, but they have to get away from their enemies as well.

In Heat by Leigh Wyndfield will please anyone who loves erotic futuristics. Leigh Wyndfield does a great job of showing us a fascinating futuristic world without it becoming too much. Jax and Waverly are two strong characters that sizzle every time they touch. Waverly can protect herself, and Jax if need be, and she is a woman to look up to. Jax is another character to love. He is just the man you want Waverly to end up with. Whether it’s conflict from each other, or from enemies, this story will keep your attention from start to finish. I enjoyed reading In Heat and look forward to reading more from Leigh Wyndfield.
