Pentacles of Magick: The Bonding

Two sets of male twin witches are born with a curse. They each have power that when used together is unlimited. The power can be seductive and over time it can destroy their souls. In order to avoid that happening, these four brothers live apart. In The Bonding, Rena, who is a Tarot Historian, shows up with the family’s stolen cards and a theory. With the help of Graelen, one of the four brothers, Rena races to figure out the clues that will save them from losing themselves to the power.

First in the series, The Bonding is a sexy tale of witches, empaths, and a prophecy. In this book it is the men who have all the power, in more ways than one. Graelen is such a strong, dominating character; at times he seems to take over so much that Rena’s character is pushed out of the way. As a heroine she isn’t too bad, though I would have liked for her to be a little stronger personality-wise. The dialogue, especially from the bad guy, seemed to be overdone. It was too much and it got to be a little distracting. Still, the plot was unique and it captured my attention until the end. I look forward to reading about the other brothers. Eliza Gayle has done well with the start to her series, and The Bonding is a good book for anyone who loves a witchy tale.
