Cade is a demon hunter, and a werewolf. His animal side gives him plenty of advantages over the demons he hunts, including immunity to deadly demon bites. Always a loner, Cade is surprised to find David on his porch one day wanting to be trained to hunt demons. David however is a human, and is susceptible to being infected by the demons. Cade is unwilling to risk turning David, but he can’t seem to turn him away. So starts their strong friendship and partnership. Then, everything changes the night David is infected, and Cade has to decide if he can risk turning the man he has grown to love into a werewolf.

Right from the start I was drawn into The Last Bite. It starts off in the present and it goes back and forth with memories from Cade and from David. The flashback scenes are written incredibly well, everything flows in this story. You get to see each moment that Cade and David fall a little more in love with each other, and you see it from both of their view points. Aside from the great job that Evangeline Anderson does with the story, these two characters were also a joy to read about. Their connection is deep, erotic, and sensual. They are both great men who are easy to admire. I loved everything about The Last Bite, and Evangeline Anderson has found a new fan with me.
