Who’s Been Sleeping in My Bed

Harlee Davis lets herself into a house that a good friend owns in order to get out of the rain. Jake comes home and to his surprise finds a Blond Goldilocks sleeping in his bed. Jake accuses Harlee of breaking and entering. Harlee explains that she came to visit an old friend named Rose. Jake tells Harlee that Rose passed away two years ago and he is the new owner of Rosehill camp and ranch. Jake wants to demolish the camp and sell it for more money. Harlee can’t let Jake do that because before Rose died Harlee made a promise to make sure to carry on the tradition of Rosehill camp and make sure it kept running. Jake wants Harlee gone and out of his life. He does not need to get involved with Harlee, a drop dead gorgeous blond bombshell as Jake is trying to clean up his bad boy image. Unfortunately for Jake, Harlee will not go away. She convinces Jake to hire her as his assistant. Jake tries to convince himself that he doesn’t want Harlee, but she could be the best thing to happen to Jake in a long time.

I really enjoyed Harlee and Jake’s story. They were the perfect match for each other—they definitely had chemistry going for them. Harlee may at times seem ditzy but when she put her mind to something or someone she could be smart about it. Jake was the ultimate ladies man but when it came to Harlee it was like she was back in high school trying to get a first date. I thought Who’s Been Sleeping in My Bed was a great and appropriate title for the story. Who’s Been Sleeping in My Bed was fun, whimsical, and full of romance. Jami Davenport sure kept my interest going with this story. Every time I found myself starting to take a break I went right back into reading more; before I knew it I was done. I can’t wait to check out more books by Jami Davenport.
