Still Mine

Six years ago, Jolene Benate made a promise to herself that she would never again be the feeble, shrinking violet that she was at her husband’s graveside. Instead, she developed a tough exterior shell with a no-mercy-type attitude that carried over into her work as a deputy marshal on an elite warrant police squad. Although she was able to move forward on a professional level, internally her heart refused to let go of the love that she had for departed husband, Paul. And then, when she was kidnapped by her supposedly-deceased husband, Jolene didn’t know whether to feel gratitude that Paul was still alive or kick him to the curb for putting her through six years of heartache and betrayal.

Paul Benate never stopped loving his wife; but, he had to let her go due to the dangers that coincided with his top-secret work in the military. The only way that he knew how to keep Jolene safe from the endless terrorist threats was to fake his death. But, it seemed that even his bogus death couldn’t keep Jolene out of harm’s way because after six years apart she became the target of his nemesis. Paul realized that the only thing he could do was to come out of hiding and reclaim his wife.

Still Mine was an intense, thrilling read from start to finish. Author Mary Wine successfully and quickly drew me into this amazing story and refused to let me go for a single moment until the dramatic conclusion made its appearance. I adored everything about Still Mine! From the non-stop action, suspenseful plot to the super-hot romance that was showcased between Jolene and Paul, there was never a dull time period within this novel. I loved the dynamics expelled between Jolene and Paul. Although betrayal and mistrust were major issues between the couple, the two explored their hearts to prevail over their hurtful past. Still Mine is one unforgettable story not to be missed!
