Dean is taking a much needed windsurfing vacation. A time to be alone and recoup from his busy life and a relationship that has headed south, all he wants is some solitude and time to focus on the extreme sports that he loves. What he wasn’t expecting was to meet Sawyer, his neighbor in the Caribbean villas, and a fellow enthusiast. Even more unexpectedly, Dean feels like he knows Sawyer from somewhere and that Sawyer bears a striking resemblance to an action figure that Dean had been repairing.

Mission: Raw is the second in Mary Winter’s fun new Live Action Hero series. Picking up where Mission: Carnal left off we follow Dean on his trip to the Caribbean. Dean is a man that has reached a point in his life where everything has come to a head. Frustrated with it all he has taken a vacation to focus on himself and the sports he loves. Sawyer is one of the former action figures that met their end in the battle that took Mack, a character from Mission: Carnal, as well. He is determined to make the most of his second chance at life and enjoy every moment. As in the previous book the men are made for each other, complimenting and strengthening and helping each to overcome their pasts. I would love to see these stories take place in a longer format where the reader can get to know the characters on a deeper level. Ms. Winter packs a lot into a short story but I can only imagine how action could occur in a full length novel.
