Kathryn Walker is very excited because her two favorite bands are performing together and luckily she was able to score tickets at the club where they are playing. She has come alone and is actually happy to get out of her apartment ever since she broke up with her boyfriend Bryan. Bryan had become a bit too possessive, needy and kept pressuring her for sex. Kathryn wants to wait for marriage before she decides to go that far with a man, and Bryan was none to pleased about her decision. Tonight she will forget her problems with love and try to get close enough to see Alex Brown, the lead singer of the group, Dying Stone.

After the concert, Kathryn is walking back to her car when a man tries to steal her purse. Another man comes to her rescue and it is none other than Alex Brown! Alex chats with Kathryn for a bit and asks for her number. He would love to take her out on a date and get to know her better.

Alex takes his time with Kathryn because he can see how special she is. Of course he wants to be intimate with her and assumes after a few dates he will have her in his bed. Alex is in for quite a surprise when Kathryn tells him of her vow to remain chaste till marriage. Now this rock stars has to decide if he is willing to be with Kathryn without the physical intimacies he is so used to when dating a woman. Also, Kathryn’s ex-boyfriend won’t take no for an answer and it is up to Alex to protect Kathryn from Bryan who is becoming very unstable.

Melody of Love is a cute traditional love story between a rock star and his love for a woman who wants marriage and a family. It was very interesting to read about Kathryn and Alex’s dating, especially when the topic of sex comes into play. Kathryn is a wonderful character who sticks to her morals even though Alex may run away from her because of them. He is everything she wants, but still will not give into the temptation.

Every so often a romance comes along that is sweet and beautiful and shows how far a person will go to keep a certain person in their lives because of the respect they have for them. Sarah Makela’s writing is very true to life and Alex’s reaction to Kathryn’s vow is very realistic. It was wonderful to watch him change his outlook on life because of the way he feels about Kathryn and how she lives her own life. Melody of Love is very uplifting and lovely story that should not be missed!
