As It Should Be

Nora Ensley has been miserable for the past fifty years. Today is her anniversary and if her husband lived they would have been married fifty-five years. She wakes up and realizes that her body has aged and is no longer the young one that it used to be. She is very lucky in that she has her health unlike some seventy-five year old women, but she also knows that she would be happy taking a million pills a day if she could just have the man of her dreams back in her life. Her friend comes over early that morning to spend the day with her so that she won’t be lonely and she gives her a beautiful emerald pendant that represents the fifty-five years that she would have had with her husband Marshall. She tells her to wear it to bed and she will dream of the good times that they had together.

She wakes up the next morning being toasty warm and as she tries to kick the covers off the bed she kicks something hard and then hears a male voice. A male voice that she hasn’t heard in fifty years; the voice of the man that she married. She is totally surprised to discover that in her dream she has been transported back fifty years and today is the day that Marshall is going to die, unless she can stop it from happening. She knows this is a dream and when she really wakes up he will be dead and she will be seventy-five years old again, but if she can prevent him from dying this one time she will do so. If only things could be As It Should Be and she never woke up from this dream.

Ms. Dean touched my heart, my soul and my very being with this inspirational story. I must admit that I’ve never read an erotic inspirational love story before but this one fits that bill. To be in Nora’s shoes, knowing that her husband that she loved with everything in her is back and she can tell him good-bye one more time means the world to her. This is something that I think we would all do if given the chance and this author captures that storyline perfectly. The time that the characters spend together is erotic and the love shines through in their behavior. This story is one of the most unforgettable ones that I’ve ever read, and after you read the love story between Nora and Marshall I’m sure that you’ll agree with me that it deserves to be a Recommended Read.
