Alissa Nye loves her family with every beat of her heart and knows that she has to find the Guardian and give him her aquamarines in exchange for the mermaid treasure that he has for her. She needs this treasure in order for her aunt to return to the sea because her husband has died and that’s how she wants to live out her life. She has been told that she will have to use her seducing powers in order to lure him. She is actually looking forward to this because she has been told that he is a very attractive man. Ali is very surprised to discover that the Guardian has a very sexy cousin who seems to be more attracted to her than to the siren that everyone says will be needed in order to get what she needs from him.

Devlin Keith is bound and determined to make sure that Ali knows that he is attracted to her and not to her sexy siren. He was doing very well in convincing her of that until they met her aunt before she returned to the sea. It seems that her aunt has decided that she will lure this man to her for all eternity. Can Ali and Devlin fight the aunt on this or will Devlin even want to fight her? Who is he more attracted to, the lure of the siren or to the flesh and blood woman that he fell in love with on land?

The lure of the sea, mermaids and the promise of a nicely erotic romance book drew me to this book and it caught me hook line and sinker. I have discovered that if I want to read a good book I can always turn to one by M. A. Ellis and it will blow me away, just like this one did. She caught my attention very quickly with the interaction of Ali’s family and the way that Devlin and Ali were so attracted to each other. I did find it rather interesting that the “lure” didn’t work with him quite like she wanted it to, although it did quite well with some other members of this story. I hope to see another story come from Seducing the Siren with Ali’s sister and Devlin’s cousin, so as you read this book please pass along that those are your wishes and maybe she’ll get us that story.
