Waitin’ on a Hero

Finley Gallagher can’t believe that everyone in her hometown is so fascinated by a man that seems to don a black coat and works outside the legal system in order to bring in the bad guys. However when The Night Watcher, as he has become known, comes to her aid she realizes that she owes him a big thank you. He is nothing like she expected him to be and suddenly she finds she is very captivated by him herself. Almost as fascinated as she is by her next door neighbor. Ever since Trace Fairbanks moved into the building he has asked her out a dozen times, but she keeps turning him down. She sees the million and one women that leave his apartment every month and she just doesn’t want to get caught up with a player like him. Trace makes for great erotic daydreams, but for some reason ever since she was rescued by The Night Watcher the daydreams that she has about Trace and her rescuer seemed to overlap and suddenly the men seem to be one and the same.

Trace has wanted Finley ever since he first laid eyes on her but for some reason she keeps rejecting him. Once he finds out that she thinks he is a player he quickly proves to her that is not the case in a very erotic way for both of them. If this was the only secret that he was keeping from her he would sleep easy, but there is another big secret that he has to hide. He’s afraid that if she ever finds out about it things will be over for them and he doesn’t want to lose the woman with whom he has fallen in love. Can he hide this secret or will it be exposed and how will Finley act when it is discovered?

I have always loved every Sydney Somers book that I’ve ever read and this one was no exception. The characters were very intense and I loved the relationship between Finley and Trace. From the very beginning both of them wanted each other but Finley was scared of getting hurt. Once she finds out that he is not a player she finds that he is the perfect person that can make all of her erotic dreams come true. Trace has a side that is very protective and also a side that Finley just discovered where he can make all of her dreams come true. I love the relationship and I think that you will too after you read Waitin’ on a Hero.
