Sophie, orphaned at the age of nine, was taken in by Mrs. Grinnich. She has grown into a compassionate woman whose only desire is to see to the comfort and care of the elderly witch.

Raven and Hawk are Mrs. Grinnich’s forty year old wizard grandsons. Hawk is laidback while Raven has images of Council of Magic grandeur dancing around in his head. It is a dream, which will remain a dream, until Raven finds his perfect mate.

With some careful planning and a bit of manipulation Mrs. Grinnich will have them all just where she wants them. The question is will all three parties find what their hearts truly desire before it’s too late?

One Night Only is part of the Executive Decision series. When a witch wants something there is little to do except go along with the program. Sophie and Hawk both seem to be combating the same issue. Both get too tongue tied to express their feelings. Raven acted like a complete horse’s butt and I found myself wanting to throw a shoe at him. Even if he was handsome sometimes a man knows just what nerve to pluck, and he was a master if I ever saw one. But the interaction between them all lightened as their feelings were revealed. To see the love and care come to life was a wonderful sight to behold. I have to admit that Mrs. Grinnich was my favorite character. She knew what needed to be done and took no prisoners when it came to gaining her desired result. Marteeka Karland has a way of writing fantastic characters that leap off the page and you instantaneously either love them to pieces or hate them with a passion. The plot and setting were perfect and the book read like a horse’s even canter. If you love stories about witches, twins, and scheming grandmothers, you will love One Night Only.
